What is occupational therapy?
Occupational therapists (OTs) work with individuals to engage in their meaningful activities. These activities can include self-care, leisure and social participation, work, school, household management, and fulfilling other responsibilities. OTs provide interventions focused on skill-building, as well as finding environmental and activity adaptations, to best support an individual’s occupational engagement.
At Live Well Occupational Therapy, we use a variety of creative approaches to support our clients to meet their goals and engage in the daily activities, roles, and responsibilities that are most important to them. As mental health OTs, we support clients in using strategies from cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and sensory modalities to support full participation in one's daily life and meaningful occupations.
